NOTES:

  1. Spectator buffer line (shown at the top of FIGURE 1) is to be a minimum of 1 yard from the touch line and should have three ~ 1 yard marks (two equal with the top of the penalty area and one at the center of the field) to separate the spectators from each team. Clubs are encouraged to increase the distance of the spectator buffer line from the touchline up to 3 yards if their field(s) sideline allows.
  2. Technical areas (shown at the bottom of FIGURE 1) should be 1 yard from the touch line. The length of each technical area should be 10 yards in length and each should be located 1 yard from the center of the field (2 yards apart from one another).
  3. For fields that clubs are unable to paint lines to indicate the spectator buffer and technical areas (artificial turf fields, school fields, etc...), clubs may use cones or other temporary markers.
* The length (touch line) of the field must be greater than the width (goal line) of the field. It is recommended by the league that the length and width measurements be proportionate to each other (i.e. a field layout should not use the minimum length and maximum width allowed).
